Joel Alvord 
Joel was born after 1801.1 Joel's father was Ashbel Alvord and his mother was Mary Jacobs. His paternal grandparents were Seth Alvord and Ruth Norcott; his maternal grandparents were Joel Jacobs and Sally Stow. He had two brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Jesse Herd, Ashbel W., Mary Ann, Sarah A., Jane, Julia Ann, Emily and Infant. He had two half-brothers named William Henry and Francis Lyman. He died after November 9th, 1826 in At Sea.1 -
