Elizabeth was born on January 4th, 1853 in Bickerstaffe,Lnchr,Eng.1 Elizabeth's father was John Allen and her mother was Elizabeth Wainwright. Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Allen and Margaret; her maternal grandparents were Stephen Wainwright and Ann Unknown. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James, Stephen, John, Richard, Ann, Marriah and Margaret. She was the second youngest of the eight children.1 -
