Vera Mildred was born on August 1st, 1905 in Mt. View, Ferndale, WA.1 Vera Mildred's father was John Marshall Aitken and her mother was Alvaretta Everett. Her maternal grandfather was John T. Everett. She had a brother and three sisters, named Victor Marshall, Alberta Catherine, Lois Elizabeth and Leila Ernestine. She was the youngest of the five children.
