Amanda Johanna was born on October 25th, 1861 in Mouhija"rvi, Finland.1   Amanda Johanna's father was Hans Viktor Ahlgren and her mother was Maria Otteliana Eriksdotter. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Frans Viktor, Johan Henrik, Oskar, Olga Alexandra, Ida Maria, Aina Josefina and Elin Matilda.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.1
