John was born on September 29th, 1736 in Pomfret, Windham, Conn..1   John's father was John Adams and his mother was Mary Unknown. He had four brothers and a sister, named William, Jonathan, Joseph, Abner and Unknown.  He died at the age of 56 on August 30th, 1793 in Bloomfield, Ontario, NY.1
