John was born in 1652.1   John's father was Henry Adams and his mother was Elizabeth Paine.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Adams and Edith Squire. He had five brothers and a sister, named Eleazer, Jasper, Moses, Henry, Samuel and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.1
