John's baptism took place on October 7th, 1649 in New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut.1   John's father was Robert Abbott and his mother was Mary Unknown. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Peter, Joseph, Benjamin, Daniel, Robert, Sarah, Deborah, Abigail and Mary.1
