Daily Democrat, Clinton MO - Helen W. Cooper, 78, Windsor, died early Thursday morning, January 16, 1997, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. She was born March 14, 1918, in Elkton, Colorado, the daughter of Thomas Buel Walthall and Cora Mae (Reddick) Walthall. On April 30, 1939, in Benton County she married Floyd Ellis Ketchum who preceded her in death May 4, 1965. On July 5, 1969, in Windsor, she married Elmer William McLaughlin who preceded her in death January 2, 1984. On July 9, 1988, in Windsor, she married D. P. "Buddy" Cooper, who preceded her in death August 23, 1994. Mrs. Cooper worked for the International Shoe Factory in Windsor for over 20 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Windsor First Christian Church and the Meadow Queen Rebekah Lodge #528, Windsor. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Glass, McAllister, Oklahoma, and Kay Francis, Independence; three grandsons, Dustin Francis, Joplin, Jeffrey Glass, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jason Glass, Austin, Texas; a granddaughter, Karla Glass Barnes, Columbus, Mississippi; six great-grandchildren, Luke Francis, Cassandra Francis, Tyler Francis, Elizabeth Glass, Brooke Barnes, Matthew Sterling Glass; a brother and his wife, J. C. and Rosemary Walthall, Lincoln; a sister, Marguerite Bucklew, Warsaw. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 18, 2 p.m., at the Hadley Funeral Home in Windsor, with Rev. Dr. Judith G. May officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
