ISHAM
The Ishams descend from Sir Euseby Osjam, Knight of Pytchley and Braunston, who was born Feb 26, 1552-53, knighted May 11, 1603, and died June 11, 1626. He married Ann, the dau of John Borlase, of Marlow Co., Bucks Co., Eng. Their son William, baptised Mar 20, 1587-88 at Braunston, married Aug 15, 1625, Mary, dau of William Brett and sister of Sir Edward Brett.Their son, Henry Isham, born in England 1627, came to VA and became a merchant at Bermuda Hundred, on the James River, VA, dying in 1675.He was Justice of Charles City County, VA 1657, Capt and High Sheriff of Henrico Co 1669-1670. He married Katharine Royall who was born in England, and died in VA 1680. Their daughter Mary married William Randolph.
