Frances A was born in 1846. Frances A's father was Greenberry Sewell and her mother was Susannah Vaughn. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel C Sewell and Susanaah Chandler. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Spencer, Willie, Mary, Martha, Sarah and Vina. She was the youngest of the seven children.-
