According to the rules of Heraldry, he would have been the third son , when he was awarded the right to use Peyton Arms"With a difference". The Peyton Society of Virginia described Henry Peyton as a likely decendant of the Bury Saint Edmunds' branch of PEYTONS that originated in Cambridge and Suffolk and moved westward with the wool trade of East Anglia
