George Frederick was born on February 17th, 1874 in Peoria, Peoria, Illinois, USA.1 George Frederick's father was Nicholas Myer and his mother was Olive Eleanor Anderson. His paternal grandparents were Julius Myer and Gretel Unknown Myer. He had three brothers and a sister, named Myers, Matthew Mcclelland, William Nicholas and Birdie. Grandfather's family were Coopers by trade. A Cooper is one who makes Cask's, Kegs and Barrels.Grandfather taught two of his sons to make barrels. My father, Matthew Myers(long deceased)and his brother, George became Coopers and Carpenters. A third son, William, took up farming down near Newport, Arkansas. His family live there, yet, in and around Newport.
