Matthew Ligon was born on February 12th, 1834 in Montgomery, Tennessee, USA.1 Matthew Ligon's father was Bryan Whitfield Killebrew and his mother was Elizabeth Smith Ligon. His paternal grandparents were Buckner Joseph Killebrew and Mary Whitfield. He had a brother named Joseph Buckner. He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Henry Barksley, Nannie and Latitia. He died at the age of 63 in 1897.1 -
