Marthena Fulks

Marthena was born on January 11th, 1826 in Caldwell Co., KY.¹   Marthena's father was Henry Andrew Jackson Fulks and her mother was Mary Pollyanna Newby.  Her paternal grandparents were John Fulks and Nancy Newby. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, Henry Jackson, William Noah, Cadenadenia, Mary Ann, Lucinda, Willie and Rhoda.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 72 on June 23rd, 1898 in Lyon Co.,  KY.  She was buried in 1898 in Newby Cemetery, Lyon Co., KY.^2 1
