Caroline Matilda Eppes 
Caroline Matilda was born on January 22nd, 1816.1 Caroline Matilda's father was John Wayles Eppes and her mother was Martha B Jones. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Eppes and Elizabeth Wayles; her maternal grandfather was Wylie Jones. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Wiley Jones, William Willie, Robert A, Mary, Eliza W and Sarah Ann. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John Wayles, Francis Wayles, Maria Jefferson and Sarah. She died at the age of 20 on June 1st, 1836 in Halifax, North Carolina, USA.1 -
