Matthew Buchanan was born in 1855.1 Matthew Buchanan's father was Pleasant Clark and his mother was Caroline Tharp. He was an only child. He died at the age of 74 on February 3rd, 1929.2 General Notes

for Alabama Township showed Matthew being 12 years old when census was taken on July 11, 1870.
