His paternal grandparents were Marion Jessie Brooks and Martha Catherine Lee; his maternal grandparents were George Washington Jr Orr and Denina Helen Fulks. He had four brothers and a sister, named Wallace Preston, Edward Hays, James Russell, Living and Living. He died at the age of 70 on October 24th, 1993.2 General Notes
