Martha Ann was born on August 25th, 1821 in Springfield, Robertson, TN, USA.1 Martha Ann's father was Valentine Daniel Barry and her mother was Martha Howell Adams. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Barry and Rosanna Toland; her maternal grandparents were William Adams and Susannah Howell. She had four brothers and a sister, named William A.F., Henry Allen, Valentine Daniel, James and Eudora. She was the third oldest of the six children. She had a half-brother named Charles. She died at the age of 56 on March 17th, 1878 in Purdy, TN, USA.1 General Notes
