William Bankhead

William was born in 1794 in Caroline Co., VA.  William's father was John Bankhead and his mother was Mary Warner Lewis.  His maternal grandparents were Charles Lewis and Lucy Taliaferro. He had two brothers named Charles Lewis and John Jr.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-brother named Philip Jr.
