Eathel Jr Anderson 
Eathel Jr was born on March 18th, 1838 in Grayson Co., KY.1 Eathel Jr's father was Eathel Sr Anderson and his mother was Agnes Nash. His paternal grandparents were William Jr Anderson and Sarah; his maternal grandparents were Arthur Nash and Milly Tomes. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William, Valentine, Rezie, Arthur R, Charles C, Hannah, Harriet, Phoebe, Elizabeth and Agnes H. He had a half-brother named Joe. He died at the age of 75 on January 31st, 1914 in Grayson Co., KY. He was buried in 1914 in Elder-Woosley Cemetery, Grayson Co., KY.2 3 General Notes

EATHAL ANDERSON is a native of Grayson County, and a son of Eathal and Agnes(Nash)Anderson, of Grayson and Pulaski Counties, respectively. Eathal Anderson,Sr., was the son of William Anderson, of whom mention has already been made. Heresided in Grayson County the greater part of his life, following the vocationof farming, and was one of the substantial citizens of his neighborhood. In 1849he moved to Arkansas, settling near Helena, where he lived a short time, afterward moving to Prairie County, that State, where his death occurred in 1857. His widow, Agnes (Nash) Anderson died August, 1869, at the age of sixty-one years. The following children were born to Eathal and Agnes Anderson, namely: William, Valentine, Arthur R., Hannah, Harriet, Eathal (subject),Phoebe, Charles C., Elizabeth, Rezie, and Agnes H. Eathal Anderson (subject) was born March 18, 1838, and has been a resident of Grayson County all of his life. He was reared on a farm and attended the schools of the country during winter seasons, and at the early age of sixteen years, commenced working for himself inthe blacksmithing business, learning the trade in Edmonson County. Later he worked on a farm, living with the family of his uncle, Rezin Anderson, for a period of years, at the end of which time he traveled for about three years,making several trips down the Mississippi River as flat-boatman in the meantime.
In 1862 he returned to Grayson County and purchased a farm about one and a halfmiles from his present home, on which he resided for a period of four years. Atthe end of that time he disposed of the farm and purchased his present homeplace, a quarter of a mile south of Caneyville Village, where he has sincelived. He has made farming a speciality; has a well improved place, and is one
of the successful men of Caneyville Precinct. He was united in marriage, April10, 1862,m in Grayson County, to Miss Sarah J., daughter of William C. And MaryJane (Denton) Simpson, of Barren County, Ky. The following children have beenborn to this union: Dora, Lydia A., Queen, Charles R., Agnes H., Louise E.,Pattie E. And William E. Mr. Anderson has never been an office seeker, but takes some interest in political affairs, voting with the Republican party. He is an active member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with which he has been identified for a period of twenty-three years. His wife is a member of the same church.
