Friedrich Wilhelm I was born on August 14th, 1688 in Berlin, Germany. Friedrich Wilhelm I's father was Friedrich I Koenig von Preussen and his mother was Sophia Charlotte. His maternal grandparents were Ernest August Duke von Brunswick and Sophia von Hanover. He had two brothers named Friedrich and Son. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Friedrich I Koenig and Luise. He died at the age of 51 on May 31st, 1740 in Potsdam, Germany.-
