Otto "Der Reiche"  Markgraf von Meissen

Otto "Der Reiche"  Markgraf was born in 1125 in Of, Meissen, Dresden, Saxony.¹   Otto "Der Reiche"  Markgraf's father was Konrad "Der Grosse" Markgraf von Meissen and his mother was Luitgard Countess von Schwaben.  His paternal grandparents were Thimo Count von Wettin and Ida Prinzessin von Bayern; his maternal grandfather was Albert im Schwabengau. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Heinrich Prinz, Dietrich Markgraf, Hermann Count, Heinrich I Count, Dedo V von Groitzsch &, Friedrich I Count, Oda Prinzessin, Bertha Prinzessin, Gertrud Prinzessin, Adele, Sofie Prinzessin and Agnes Prinzessin.  He was the second oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 65 on February 18th, 1190.¹
