Karl von Hessenstein 
Karl was born in 1737. Karl's father was Friedrich l von Hessen and his mother was Hedwig Ulrike Taube. His paternal grandparents were Karl von Hessen-Kassel and Maria Amalia Kettler von Kurland. He had a brother and two sisters, named Friedrich Wilhelm Fuerst, Frederica Wilhelmina and Hedwig Amalia. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 32 in 1769.
