Adolf von Hessen-Kassel 
Adolf was born in 1631. Adolf's father was Wilhelm V Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and his mother was Amalie Elisabeth von Hanau-Muenzenberg. His paternal grandparents were Moritz von Hessen-Kassel and Agnes von Solms-Laubach. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Moritz, Wilhelm, Wilhelm Vl, Philipp, Karl, Agnes, Elisabeth, Emilie, Charlotte, Elisabeth and Luise. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.
