Blanche was born on March 4th, 1188 in Valencia, Castile, Spain.1   Blanche's father was Alfonso IX Kioenig von Castile. She had a brother named Ferdinand III Koenig.  She was the older of the two children.  She died at the age of 65 on November 30th, 1253 in Palais du Louvre, Paris, France.1
