Ludwig III Wittelsbach Koenig was born on January 7th, 1845 in Munich, Germany. Ludwig III Wittelsbach Koenig's father was Luitpold and his mother was Augusta von Oesterreich-Tuscany. His paternal grandparents were Ludwig I Wittelsbach Koenig von Bayern and Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. He had two brothers and a sister, named Leopold, Amulf and Therese. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 76 on October 18th, 1921 in Sarvar, Hungary.-
