Gerberga was born about 0962 in Of, Anjou, France.1 Gerberga's father was Geoffroy I "Grisegonnelle" von Anjou and her mother was Adelaide von Vermandois. Her paternal grandparents were Fulk II " Der Gute " von Anjou and Gerverga von Gatinais; her maternal grandparents were Adelaide and Robert Count von Troyes. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Maurice, Geoffroy, Fulk III "The Black" Count, Ermangarde and Adela (Blanca).1 -
