Jacob Dirk Veerman 
Jacob Dirk was born on August 17th, 1822 in Jemgum, Germany.1 Jacob Dirk's father was Dirk Jacob Veerman and his mother was Elize Hinderks Sikkama. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Engelke Veerman and Tjade Dirks; his maternal grandparents were Hinderk Uilderks and Margreetje Steffens. He had three sisters named Maggrytje, Tjade Dirks and Hinderika. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 67 on January 19th, 1890 in Pekin, IL.1 -
