John S. Slayton 
John S. was born on April 26th, 1888 in WV.1 John S.'s father was George Albert Slayton and his mother was Sarah Emily Cox. His paternal grandparents were Daniel W. Slayton and Mary Shiltz. He had four brothers and five sisters, named George R., Daniel Emanuel, Isaiah W, James A., Lilly Belle, Lydia D., Sarah Ola, Ollie and Slayton. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John S., Isiah W., Lillie B., Sarah Ola and Infant. He died at the age of 91 in July 1979 in Gallia, OH.1 -
