John was born about 1426 in Of, Bletsoe, Bedfordshire, England.1 John's father was Oliver Saint John and his mother was Margaret Beauchamp. His paternal grandparents were John Saint John and Elizabeth De Umfreville; his maternal grandparents were John Beauchamp and Edith Stourton. He had a brother and five sisters, named Oliver, Edith, Elizabeth, Mary, Margaret and Agnes. He was the oldest of the seven children.1 -
