Ludwig 
Ludwig was born in 1831. Ludwig's father was Maximilian Joseph Duke von Bayern and his mother was Ludovica (Louise) Wittelsbach. His maternal grandparents were Maximilian I Joseph Wittelsbach and Caroline von Baden. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Karl Theodor, Maximilian, Helene, Elizabeth, Maria, Mathilde and Sophie. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 89 in 1920.-
