His maternal grandparents were Joel Branham Williams and Elvira A. Johnston. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Leander Galletin, Thomas Glenn, Charles Rose, Joseph Dowdell, Valeria, Mary Fredonia, Willie Nora, Lucy and Lillian.1 -
