Hugh De (Gaunt) Montfort 
Hugh De was born about 1078 in Of, Folkingham, Lincolnshire, England.1 Hugh De's father was Gilbert von Gand and his mother was Alice von Montfort. His paternal grandparents were Ralph von Gand and Gisele; his maternal grandfather was Hugh von Montfort. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Henry, Ralph, Geoffrey, Robert, Gilbert, Walter, De Gant, Felia, Emma, Matilda and Alice. He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children.1 -
