William Fitzwilliam 
William was born about 1052 in Of, Breteuil, Normandy, France.1 William's father was William Fitzosbern and his mother was Alice (Adelise) De Toeni. His paternal grandparents were Osbern and Emma von Ivry; his maternal grandparents were Roger "The Spainiard" De Toeni (Conches) and Godeheut (Godehilde) Borrell. He had four brothers and a sister, named Roger, Ralph, John, Richard and Emma. He was the oldest of the six children.1 -
