Her paternal grandparents were Nicholas Devore and Sarah Decker; her maternal grandparents were Christopher Mann and Ann. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Peter Mann, Abner, Nicholas Fernando, David G, Elhanan W, Newton A, Sarah, Mary (Polly) and Emily. She was the oldest of the ten children.1 -
