William "De Fortibus" was born about 1225 in Chewton, Somerset, England.1   William "De Fortibus"'s father was Hugh De Vivonia and his mother was Mabel Malet.  His maternal grandparents were William II Malet and Alice Basset.  He was an only child.  He died on May 22nd, 1259.1
