Aylmer was born about 1160 in Angouleme, Aquitaine, France.1 Aylmer's father was William Taillefer IV Count von Angouleme and his mother was Marquerite De Turenne. His paternal grandparents were Wulgrin Taillefer II Count von Angouleme and Ponce von Montgomerie; his maternal grandparents were Raymond I Viscount von Turenne and Maude\Felicie\Alice De Perche. He had a brother named Wulgrim IV Count. He had two half-brothers named Aimar Taillefer Count and Adhemir V Viscount. He died on June 16th, 1202 in Limoges, France.1 -
