Richard III was born about 1162 in Tunbridge, Kent, England.1 Richard III's father was Roger De Clare and his mother was Maude De St. Hillary. His paternal grandparents were Richard Fitz Gilbert and Adeliya\Alice De Meschines; his maternal grandparents were James De StHillary and Aveline. He had a sister named Aveline. He was the older of the two children. He died before November 28th, 1217.1 -
