Her paternal grandparents were Louis Comte von Montbelliard and Sophie Comtesse von Bar; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume II Count von Burgund-Macon and Stephanie De Longwy. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Renaud I Count, Louis, Thierry II Count, Frederic, Guillaume, Etienne, Agnes De and Gunthilde. She was the second youngest of the nine children.1 -
