Catherine Courtenay

Catherine was born about 1438 in Of, Powderham, Devonshire, England.¹ Catherine's father was Philip Courtenay and her mother was Elizabeth Hungerford. Her paternal grandparents were John Courtenay and Joan Champernowne; her maternal grandparents were Walter Hungerford and Katherine Peverell. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, William, Philip, Peter, Walter, Edmund, Humphrey, John, Anne, Elizabeth and Philippa. She was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. She died on January 12th, 1515 in Shillingford, Devonshire, England.¹
