John was born about 1413 in Of, Bere Ferrers, Devonshire, England.1   John's father was Alexander Champernon and his mother was Joan Ferrers. He had a brother and a sister, named Roger and Joan.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died on April 3rd, 1475.1
