John D. Bowers 
John D. was born on May 10th, 1844 in Elbert County, Georgia, USA.1 John D.'s father was Asa Bowers and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Brown. His maternal grandparents were Dozier Thornton Brown and Mary Gaines "Polly" Herndon. He had a sister named Sarah Frances Elizabeth. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 20 on June 8th, 1864.1 -
