Henry Back

Henry was born on September 29th, 1822 in Harlan Co., KY.¹ Henry's father was Henry Back and his mother was Susannah Maggard. His paternal grandparents were Henry Back and Elizabeth Hoffman; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Maggard and Rebecca Robertson. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John, Samuel, Lewis, David, James, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mary, Susannah, Sarah and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.¹
