Edward was born on April 16th, 1827 in Birmingham, England.1   Edward's father was James Allen and his mother was Mary Graham. He had three brothers named James, Samuel James and Henry.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died about 1895 in Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois.1
