Isabel was born about 1460 in Scotland. Isabel's father was John I Stewart and her mother is Margaret Douglas. Her paternal grandparents were James I Stewart and Joan De Beaufort; her maternal grandparents were Archibald Douglas and Euphemia Graham. She has two sisters named Janet and Anne.
