Elizabeth was born about 1248 in Buchan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Elizabeth's father was Alexander Comyn and her mother was Elizabeth De Qunicy. Her paternal grandparents were William Comyn and Margaret Colhan; her maternal grandparents were Roger De Quincy and Helen Hawise MacDonal. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Alexander, John, Roger, William, ?, Elena, Bridget, Margaret and Catherine. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died before February 17th, 1329 in Castle Prudhoe, Northumberland, England. She was buried in Priory of Hexam, Northumberland, England.General Notes

Elizabeth Comyn was the daughter o f Alexander Comyn, 6th Earl of
Buchan and Elizabeth De Quincy.1 She was born before 1260. She married
Gilbert De Umfreville, 8th Earl of Angus, son of Gil bert De Umfreville
and Maud, Countess of Angus.1 She died before 17 February 1328/29.1
Through her marriage, Elizabeth Comyn gained the title of Countess
of Angus. She was also known as Agnes Comyn.2
