Moses Webster was born on March 16th, 1813 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Moses Webster's father was Hezadiah Woodbury and his mother was Hepsebeth Colby. His maternal grandparents were Willoughby Colby and Sarah Sargent. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named James, Hezediah, Amos, Gilman, Lyman, Alfred, Sally, Miriam, Hepzibah, Jane, Hepzibah, Miriam and Lydia P.. He was the second youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 73 on October 21st, 1886 in Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.-
