Raymond Silas was born on June 22nd, 1879 in Richmond Twnshp., Crawford County, Pa.. Raymond Silas' father was Elisha Silas Walden and his mother was Clarinda Hibbard Southwick. His maternal grandparents were William Bowron Southwick and Maria Rideout. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Emlyn Herbert, Myron Linden, Libbie Lillian, Malinda Gates, Clarinda Marion, Mary Estelle and Lura Lucinda. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 52 on March 5th, 1932 in Waterford, Pa..General Notes
