Nancy E. was born on June 1st, 1818 in Bow, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Nancy E.'s father was Simeon Coffin Sargent and her mother was Charlotte Hutchinson. Her paternal grandparents were Simeon Sargent and Martha Buntin. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Samuel Kimball, Henry Sumner, John, James, Charlotte F. and Abbie E.. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 72 in 1890.-
