Anson was born on September 8th, 1823 in Potton, Brome, Quebec, Canada. Anson's father was Samuel Ezra Sargent and his mother was Rubie Ruiter. His paternal grandparents were Ezra Sargent and Hannah Rynes. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Roger, Jacob, Hulda and Susan. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 68 on November 14th, 1891 in Potton, Brome, Quebec, Canada.-
